The Perfect Yellow

A few years ago I had paint chips propped up on the window ledge in my living room. All of them within a few shades of this:

I was looking for the perfect yellow, something like an orange tinged lemon or a really yellowy butter or an egg tart if you bumped up the saturation.

  1. This looks "French" to me.
Beautiful details, as so many times before.

    1. Thank you, Gunn! There is a lot of French and French-inspired architecture in Beirut, so, you're right.

  2. I'm from St. Louis and all of your photos are so lovely, but that is such a different place from The Lou. Your life must be very different.

    1. Hi Cathy, Beirut and St. Louis are worlds apart, it's true. Maybe you saw that I'm also from St. Louis . . . I still go back there every other year or so. Your photos from FL are very nice.

  3. Yep it is the perfect yellow. I like that colour on rendered buildings ... but think it looks yuk in timber ones.
